Privacy Policy

This English text is a reference translation of the Japanese original, which is the authoritative version. In the event of any discrepancy between the Japanese and English versions, the Japanese version shall prevail. Please refer to the Japanese version for the binding text.

This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) describes how the operator (“we”, “us”) handles user information on the web service live.garando.dev (the “Service”). The Service is built around “no accounts, no logs,” and our basic policy is to collect as little personal information as possible.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

By design, the Service does not collect:

  • Account information such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, or passwords (there is no account registration);
  • The content of communications — video, audio, chat messages, reactions, nicknames — which is never stored on our servers.

We do, however, use an analytics tool (Google Analytics) to understand and improve usage. See “5. Analytics, Cookies, and Third-Party Services” below for details.

2. Information Stored Only on Your Device

The following is stored only in your browser's local storage (on your device) and is never sent to our servers:

  • An anonymous device identifier (UID), theme setting, and display name (nickname);
  • Your saved rooms and recently used rooms.

You can erase all of this at any time yourself using the “wipe” action at the top of the screen.

3. Information Processed Transiently to Establish a Connection

To establish a WebRTC connection, connection information known as SDP / ICE (ICE may include IP addresses) passes momentarily through a Cloudflare Durable Object (the signaling broker) on its way to the other party's device. This information is neither stored nor logged and is discarded after relay. The viewer count is held in memory only while connections are active and is not stored.

4. IP Address Disclosure via P2P

Because the Service uses P2P, by its nature participants connected to the same room may see one another's global IP addresses. This is separate from anonymity toward us and is an unavoidable characteristic of P2P communication.

5. Analytics, Cookies, and Third-Party Services

The Service relies on the following third-party services:

  • Google Analytics (GA4): to understand and improve usage, we use the analytics service provided by Google LLC. Using cookies and similar technologies, it collects usage information such as pages viewed, access times, referrer, approximate region, and device/browser type (this is not information that directly identifies you). In GA4, IP addresses are handled anonymously and are not stored. The collected information is managed by Google under its privacy policy.
  • Cloudflare (Workers / Durable Objects): delivery infrastructure. In handling connections, Cloudflare may process communication metadata (such as IP addresses) under its own policy.
  • Google Fonts: fonts are loaded from Google's CDN, so your IP address and similar data may be sent to Google.
  • Google Forms: used to receive inquiries. Submitted content is received by Google and by us, and Google's privacy policy applies.
  • TURN (optional feature; disabled by default): only when enabled, for connectivity in strict NAT environments, encrypted media is relayed via Cloudflare's TURN servers (content is not decrypted).

The cookies used on the Service come mainly from Google Analytics above. If you do not want this analytics collection, you can disable cookies in your browser settings or use Google's Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. For how Google handles information, please see Google's Privacy Policy.

6. Information Collected via the Contact Form

We collect the content you enter into the contact form (optional; including an email address if you provide one). We use this solely to respond to and handle your inquiry.

7. Disclosure to Third Parties

Except where disclosure is required by law, we do not provide the information we collect to third parties (and in any case, the personal information we hold is very limited).

8. Children's Information

The Service is not directed to persons under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

9. Security

Communications on the Service are protected by HTTPS and WebRTC encryption (DTLS-SRTP). In any case, we do not retain the content of communications.

10. Your Rights

You can delete the information stored on your device at any time using the “wipe” action. For inquiries about content you submitted via the contact form, please use the contact details below.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may revise this Policy as needed. The revised Policy takes effect when posted on this page.

12. Governing Law

This Policy is interpreted in accordance with the laws of Japan.

13. Contact

For questions about this Policy or our handling of information, please contact us via the contact form.
